Conversion Help/Assistance

I've tried the various programs suggested on this forum with no results. The Stioc program says: Initializing then it just stops and nothing happens.

At the minute I'm trying to get it working in ASFTools but it mentioned something about WMV2 or something, and that it won't disply video.

The files itself may be the problem, again I'm not sure, I try to open it and the correct time length appears but the slider jumps from start to finish in the blink of an eye with no sound or video.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestion? I want to play it on my DVD player and it was recorded from Streaming video by asfrecorder.

I take it, its an ASF then This can give problems sometimes. Have you tried to load and convert it with TMPGEnc.

Have you tried looking at it in Vdub (V1.3C..ASF version)

"Graphedit" handle ASF very well, see one of my other posts on WMV/ASF with Graphedit conversion.

wow...so many peeps wanting to convert .asf and .wmv files. AKA Microsoft. May this be the reason why Bill Gates beat up Avery Lee till he promised to update his program, Virtualdub to not include windows media support?!?!?!
