  1. I just purchased a Pioneer DVR-104 and the first couple of movies I did where fine. Because they were under the 4.35gb limit. But now i'm trying to do Mission Impossible a movie that is over the limit.

I used SmartRipper to Rip the dvd. And with this disc it has a widescreen version and a standard version.

there are 8 vobs in this disc. 1 - 4 are the regular version and the very end of vob 4 is the start of the widescreen version

I have tried just burning the .IFO files and vobs 1-4 for the standard version and it gets to about 98% of the burn using Nero and it fails.

right now i'm did the DVD2AVI process and am using ReMpeg method as stated in a previous how-to forum. will this work?

    Any suggestions?

  2. do u use ifo edit at all?

sure u can use rempeg to trancode the movie to a smaller size and then remux it back with the audio with ifoedit.

dont forget to do a get vts sectors on the ifo files before u burn

are u keeping the original menu or just the movie and no menu?

how big is the widescreen version that u r burning?
