    what is the name of the filter i need that will allow me to make vhs copies of my dvd's ? thanx

    You need a device that bypasses (Filters) Macrovision, that device could be made by many manufacturers and it may have many names.

    Check this site out also, as its sometimes easier to chip the DVD player.
