I am new capturing and I have a question. I got everything working well with very little if no frame loss using my Pinnacle DC10 board running under Win XP on a AMD 2100+, 512K DDR machine. The video is not a prob but the sound is not as good as I hoped. I am running through a Soundblaster live. The sync is great but I think I am not properly setting the sound setting right. Pinnacle Studio has what appears to be a recording level and I adjusted it so it does not constantly run topped out, I adjusted the microphone level within Windows too. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried the sound settings at both 8 and 16 bit stereo and mono at 44.1hz. Please help!

If you capture from a VCR, TVset, or anything apart a microphone, you have to use the LINE-IN input on the SoundBlaster, the MIC-IN will get you distorted sound. The jacks are the same and Creative use icons not so easy to understand, so look on the instruction set to find out which one you need to connect your audio cable.
