  1. I have a Toshiba SD-2800 player which ive checked on the list and is compatiable for VCD and CDRs... i used Tmpgenc to convert an AVI file to MPG1 followed the guide on this site... burned the MPG file fine onto a SONY CDR... but once i pop into my player it wont play??any help would be greatly appreciated

    What burning software did you use?
    did you make sure you chose to create a vcd with that software?

    Sometimes dvd players dont like certain brands of cd-r discs.

  3. When i burnt an mpg file as a vcd( converted with tmpg then burned it with Nero), the same thing happened to me on my Toshiba Sd-2800 dvd player. Basically what i did was even though the cd was brand new by shirt and pressed against the back and front on my cd( sounds stupid I know). I put it back in and it worked

    did you burn the cd as a vcd or did you jsut burn the mpg file?
