Hi I have captured some video using Intervideo WinDVR cos it seems to be the only software that will capture at 640x480 and higher for me.. but now it wont let me open the MPEG2 in Adobe premiere to be able to edit it :S

So I must know is their a way of turning MPEG2 to AVI so as I can edit it in Adobe premiere? Or is their a way of getting Adobe premiere to open the MPEG2?

Also if I did convert it to AVI could it decrease file size?

And in Adobe premiere where it says capture driver it says video for windows (and the actual driver is a windows WDM driver?) is this why I cant captuer in higher resolutions? Can I get a better driver but bearing in mind I dont want to change my input driver as that messed my system up last time? (my input driver is Hauppage) so should I change the actual capture driver and if so how?
