  1. I am just starting out trying to learn the process of transferring a VHS tape over to a CDR.

I have an ATI video capture incorporated with my video card...and I have been reading about various different software packages to do this with: i.e. powervcr, tmpgenc, etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction for the best software to use for this process.

    TIA

  2. Put your computer details up, And if you mention a video card brand, tell us what one exactly.

On the left is a ton of great info. Since you are using the capture card for your source and I am assuming your card is somewhat new all you have to do is select the capture format you want. I have a ATI AIW7500 and there are a ton of settings you can pick and your burner if your lucky has nero, It will do vcd's and with the mp2 plugin svcd's.

Good luck and read on the left side of for newbies..

  3. MrPhelps,

I have a Rage Fury Pro 128 (It is installed as a Xpert 2000 Pro, too). This card is compatible with the All-In-Wonder card, I believe. (It is a 32 mb card...so, in answer to your question, it is not too new.)

I have been reading - on this site - that it is possible to upgrade this card with the Radeon drivers. I have asked about...and a few people have said that this is not possible.

As this is the site where people would actually know, what is the truth of this...and, if it is possible, which drivers do I need to use for this upgrade?

    TIA
