  1. every since i got the new player i cant play svcd or any mpeg2 video it says im missing &€mà codec if any one knows how i can fix it or where i can get the old version from i thankyou

    As far as I know the only way of restoring your previous player in XP is by rolling back your system using system restore. Here's a link from Microsoft explaining just that: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player/relnotes.asp#knownissue

    You can always try use the old windows media player 6.4, you find it in c:\program files\windows media player\mplayer2.exe

  5. Or you can use a different player such as PowerDVD, WinDVD, Twins video player, Zoom player, Winamp3 (yikes), or many other players out there, many free. I like to check for the newest versions over at www.betanews.com which is a GREAT site.
