The VCD Help documentation mentions that it is important to convert to VCD MPEG before burning a VCD. I have used Pinnacle Studio DV 7 to create an MPEG video, but am uncertain if this is the same as the VCD MPEG format that the site refers to. Therefore, do I have to convert from MPEG to VCD MPEG, before Authoring and Burning the VCD?

look at the VCD MPEG comliance specs here
make sure that your video is compliant wih these specs. Most importantly that it is multiplexed correctly. A program like TMPGEnc will do this for you as it encodes. But you can remultiplex an mpeg video to meet the requirements. Note that this is only applicable if the rest of your mpeg settings match the specsBig_Jit -
Thanks for the help. I simply took the MPEG produced from Studio DV directly through the VCDeasy software to create the VCD and it played fine in my DVD player.
