I have the latest virtual dub and everytime I try to capture a video file longer than 20-30 minutes, I get an error message and the program stops capturing. The message is something like this "Incorrect AVIoutput.." Is this a common problem? I have Hauppauge WinTV PCI as a capturing card.

Try enabling VirtualDub's multi-segment capture - it sounds like you're reaching the filesize limit for a single AVI.

As HillJack said, it sounds like you're reaching the 2GB avi limit. Take a look at:
http://www.geocities.com/lukesvideo
or just read the VDub help file for setting up the multi-segment capture.
