  1. I've been ripping DVD's to DivX/SVCD for ages now, and every one that I've done has turned out perfectly. I'm trying to rip the DVD of Family Guy to DivX, and it's the first time I've come across an interlaced DVD. For those who don't know, Family Guy is a cartoon. Anyway, I encoded an episode to DivX, and I got these horrible black lines appearing everywhere. I ran a search on Google and on this forum to see if I could find a solution to fix these, but couldn't get anything. I tried using the deinterlace option in FlaskMPEG, it removed the black lines but I now get sort of overlapping frames, like a blurred effect. It's driving me nuts trying to fix this. I can't think if what else to do. Can someone PLEASE give me any advice? Thanks
