  1. Hi, i am a newbie first time using tmpgenc and yesterday was using it to convert a avi file to a mpeg file. And my film size was 702mb, but after converting to mpeg file, the size was 1.02mb.

    so what's did i do wrong?
    and is there any site/link which can help me to understand the function in tmpgenc .. went to the help section, but can't help me to understand the function and buttons.

  2. I am assuming you meant 1.02GB not MB. You did nothing wrong, its just divx can have higher compression ratios than VCD compatible mpeg, which is set at approximately 10MB/min. So if your film is 1 hour and 40 minutes the filesize is correct.
