DVDSP MPEG2 Encoding Problems

whenever i try and encode something with the dvd studio pro codec via qt 6 pro, i get an error saying the encoder couldnt find the video stream in the file. anyone have any idea what is going on? system is a 867 G4, 10.2, and dvdsp 1.5, thanks for the help

When you open your source in QT pro, what is the format of the video in the "get info" window?

Quicktime will not allow MPEG-2 to MPEG-2 encoding. They're trying to keep you from copying DVDs.

what else can i use to convert mpeg2 to mpeg2? i tried cleaner, but i cant control the bitrate of hte output file, so it is of no use to me. i have mpeg charger, but i dont know where to access it. anyone?

you can encode mpeg-2 to mpeg-2 in mediapipe, its ALOT faster than cleaner, but unfortunately is still riddled with some problems encoding mpeg-2 to mpeg-2 if the framerate of the source changes at all, which is also unfortunately very common in mpeg-2 from dvds (that i have ripped thus far) so it is kind of hit and miss when it comes to re-encoding video from a DVD, if you have the mpeg charger installed for cleaner 5 if you select the encode setting after selcting MPEG-2 DVD (NTSC or PAL) you should see a whole slew of options to change for the conversion, if you dont, then u have not properly installed cleaner.
