  1. Hi All,
I have a DviX encoded AVI file which looks really great, but I'm missing the sound. When trying to play the file I get no sound and the Media Player always starts by trying to download some sort of audio codecs, but without success. It doesn't tell me anything when looking at the file property in VirtualDub.

Could someone please tell how to determine the audio codecs used when encoding the AVI file, so I can install that?

Any suggestions are really welcome. :P

  3. Hi,
The information I get is as follow:

    Sampling rate: 48000Hz
    Channels: 2 (Stereo)
    Sample pricision: 0-bit
    Compression: Unknown (tag 2000)
    Preload skew: 12000 samples (0.25s)
    #of frames: 124562
    Min/avg/max/total frame size: 480/960/12000(116788K)

On any other "normal" DivX I see the "Compression" as some MPEG Layer-3 codecs.

Any idea what "tag 2000" is?
