I've got access to a nice and free 166mhz laptop and was thinking that, since it really can't be used for much of anything that I do workwise, I could turn it into a standalone, portable movie player.
I figure that with a minimal, ultra-low overhead Win 98 install, all the correct codecs and PowerDVD, I should be able to pull it off.
Opinions?

No, it's only good for VCDs. DivX requires at least Pentium II, I'd say. They will be extremely choppy and jerky.
