    why can't i get any sounds in on the encoded files in tmpgenc, i tried sounds in .wav and still no sounds at all.

    Try This
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
