  1. System used : Athlon TBird 1,33 GHz, 256 MB Ram, GForce 2 GTS/32 MB Video Card, Pioneer DVD Rom, WindowsXP Professional.

Viewing problem : DVD player doesn´t playback (I use Zoom Player)
Ripping problem : DVDx says DVD might not be unlocked.

Seems to me as if both problems have the same source, but HOW do I unlock my DVD or drive ?

This is just after installing WinXP, with Win2k it worked. The DVD I tried works well in a standalone player.

    Any hints are welcome !

  2. I'm using XP as well with no problems. I seem to remember reading something about locked drives. Like I told someone else just recently, try using a different player and a different ripper, at least this will let you know if the problem is isolated to these applications, if not solving the problem then at least letting you know that the problem is on the OS/hardware level rather then the application level.

    Hope this helps,
    Prospero
