Hi:
How can I change the DMA settings for my Hard Discs and CDR/DVD room in Windows 2000?
I have PC's in my work with Windows 98 and it is easy to change the settings within the "device manager" for each device. However, in W2K the settings do not have the DMA option. Is there any way I can change the DMA options.
Just befor you ask me, yes! I do have administrative rights in W2K.
Thanks for you help with this matter

In device manager find the ide controller which your dvd/cdrom are attached to. In its advanced settings it will have the opion "DMA if available."
