I used to adding subtitle using Vobsub, but for this particular movie, I received an error message "locked DVD or missing Vob". I tried Subrip, it can read the subtitle, but I don't want to use OCR for Chinese characters, it is too much job. What other options do I have? Thanks,

Yes, I tried that, but what to do next? When I tried to add subtilte in Vdub. It appeared only "xxxxx.bmp" at the place where the subtitle should be.

I don't know anything about the tools for making permanent subtitles, when I do subtitles it's always selectable subtitles on an SVCD.
