    What capture device? What drivers?

Have you tried turning off overlay and just using preview?

They should work, just turn off overlay and use preview. Then set up your capture ( I think they limit to 640x480 ).

If you want higher than 640x480 or have difficulty getting that far use the universal drivers

    http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/

They seem to work well as long as you dom't mind dumping wintv2000 and using dscaler.

For straight tv/video watching it's the best out there. Built in HQ de-interlace and 3:2 pulldown detection and removal.
