Have you installed any other software lately? Some .dll's may have been overwritten or another codec installed which is causing problems. Just a guess, but I would try and re-install DVDx 2.0.

works fine with other rips, just seems this one, once it has opened the ifo file, i get the above message.....

I wonder if there are other .ifo files? Maybe it's one of those DVD's with more than one program chain? I'm clutching at straws now i'm afraid...

You might want to check out the DVDx forum for the latest info
but last time I helped someone else out with this error the only
solution was to use DVDx version 1.7.
The added advantage (with 1.7) is
that the end picture quality is higher and sound sync
is not a problem (unlike 2.x). The overall encoding time may
increase about 10% though.
For the best quality, though, use the DVD2AVI frameserve to
tmpgenc or CCE for ultimate DVD rips. -
when i load the vobs into dvd2avi, it loads 7 vobs in, but when i preview the film is half way through...
ive tried ver 1.7 with the same results..grrrrr lol

Sounds like some corrupt vob files. I actually ripped and encoded Armageddon last week ... so it can be done!!
