Before you post
Please try to do some basic research before posting. Most fundamental questions are answered on the How To's on this site or at other locations on the web.
Using the Forum search feature can yield rich rewards as most questions have already been previously answered.
These questions are answered several times and that's why it is not an advanced topic. People who are willing to answer such a question again and again will probably look at the newbie conversion forum.
So moving your topic to this forum should help to get more replies. -

if your having problems with it, this is your system
However you may like to try Vdub-MP3
Here is some info from the "King Johns shortcuts"
Virtual Dub MP3 Freeze
Removing junk frames with Vdub MP3 freeze requires some work, this version will make a log of any junk frames at C:\junkframes.log using this log, you can easily remove the junk frames.
File > Open video file
Video > Check video for freezes
When the scan has finished, leave Vdub on screen and open the log file using Windows notepad
Bad Frame Report from VirtualDub-Mp3

12347
12348

345678
345679
345680
345681
From the example shown, we can see there are 2 groups of numbers. Each group having a sequence of bad frames. You need to start at the highest groups first, if you did not do this, the other numbers would no longer be in the same location. You also need to mark start and end at key frames.
Highlight the first number in the highest group (345678) and select "Copy" (Control C) now switch back to Vdub and select Edit > Go to and paste that number into the box (Control V)
You will see Vdub give an error, you now need to jump backwards to the nearest key frame.
Click the yellow key frame Icon once Then mark this as start by clicking the start Icon. Go back to the log and highlight the last number in the group (345681) and select "Copy" (Control C) now switch back to Vdub and select Edit > Go to and paste that number into the box (Control V)
You will see Vdub give an error, you now need to jump Forward to the nearest key frame.
Click the yellow key frame Icon once
Then mark this as end by clicking the end Icon.
Press your delete key to remove this group of bad frames.
You now need to do the same for the next grope of numbers. When you have finished deleting all bad frames, save the AVI
Video > Direct steam copy
Audio > Direct stream copy
SAVE AVI (Movie2.AVI)
Looks better in HTML
