  1. Can somebody please help me. I have been trying to put a lot of anime eps on one dvd but the templates create huge files so I looked in the tools section here and luckily stumbled upon the KVCD. One of the templates at the website is for 4.5 to 5 hours DVD quality. I started using the template with TMPGenc and found when I played the files on my windows media player they were upside down. They are compatible and everything I just need to know how to turn them right side up again. Thanx

    are you frameserving to your encoder?
    if so, add the following line to your script:
    flipvertical()
    if you're not frameserving, then you can start, and use the above line in your script (AVIsynth)
    what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!

  3. Um, what is frameserving, it is command line based or is it part of TMPGEnc? I have always been able to use TMPGEnc with very few problems so I have not experimented with other programs as much. Could you explain to me what u think might be happening and how to use the frameserving....thing?

    I've heard of this happening before and I'm sure there is a logical explanation but I don't have it. However I do not think actually flipping your source during encoding is a good idea. I think the picture reversal is happening during decoding, not encoding. For instance I have heard of people fixing this problem by turning down hardware exelleration in their software player.

    If you actually flip your video then it may look correct on your pc but display upside down on a hardware player.

    As far as this particular movie is concerned my suggestion is to burn it to cdrw and test it on a hardware player. My guess is that it will work fine.

    As for for pc playback, I recommend you unistall any suspicious codecs, or even better, uninstall all codecs unless you know you need them. Many codecs will take precedence over any others and this means that they will be used during decoding in media player, regardless of how well that codec works.
