  1. im converting divx movie into two mpeg cds using tmpeg and virtual dub.
first I extract a wav file, then in tmpeg select the divx movie as video, and wav as audio and select the source range in the middle. ive come out with a perfect cd1, and cd2 will crash windows media player every time. what is wrong with cd2 ?!

When does it crash in the second half ?
Did you use Vdub to scan for junk frames first ?

Load your second mpeg into TMPGEnc > File > Mpeg tools
Select split merge and "Mpeg 1 Video CD" from list
Add your mpeg and select an output name/path

    Click run

Streaming it though TMPGEnc like this, may fix the problem

You could have converted all the AVI and split it later !
