  1. Please help me. I have been having trouble so long for like a week or two and I finally had to sign up here for help.
Any VCD program I use to create a VCD with mpgs (i convert them from AVIs) nothing works.
I tried the PANASONIC one and TMPGEnc-2.58 and some others but every time I tried to get them to burn from C: onto a disc to E: nothing works.
I really need help and I am very fustrated.
I tried Easy CD Creator 5.02 Platinum and when it begins to burn I come up with errors like:

Critical Error. Unable to communicate with Creator engine.
An error occured during Video CD data preparation. Disc creation can not be completed.

If you need any more information, please please please ask.
    Thank you.

  2. OK
Exactly WHAT TYPE of Drive is drive E: ?
If you are trying to write to your CD-RW from a different CD drive this may be a buffer underrun error (data moving TOO slowly from 1 drive to the writer or on the same bus)

Also, it would help to know what program you are using to convert your *.avi files.

  4. I only have 1 guess,
the *.mpg that you wish to burn is NOT VCD compliant if NTSC:

    240x352 29.97 fps 1150 kb/s vid & 224 kb/s audio @ 44.1 khz

EZ cd creator does not allow for (x)vcd streams.

    only idea i have.

If you have more than one burning program loaded, they can sometimes interfere with one another (depends on the versions, and OS).
I assume you have already created an MPEG1 file that meets the standards DogLoop mentioned, or an xVCD that closely resembles those standards.
If you have done that AND you can play the file in a player like WMP, then you should be able to burn it to disc. If you can't play the file, don't bother trying to burn it.
I have ECDC 5 & Nero 5.5, but I burn all my VCDs with Nero, because it is easier, especially if I want to do menus...(I use ECDC for other things).
Try downloading the current version of Nero, and see if that works for you.
