i hope someone can help, i downloaded the svcd demo from this site and burnt it to a disc using the bin/cue way of burning, this i had never done before but it worked and played fine on my dvd, so i decided to try and make my own, i encoded a film to mpeg2(using tmpge) and burnt the disc using nero but i burnt it the normal way, exited out of the wizard and chose super vcd from the list, i burnt the disc no problems, but when i put it in the dvd player nothing happens, it recognises there is a film on the disc as it displays the time, but i will not play, i just get a black screen, please someone help as i am fast running out of discs!!!

    thanks pete(again)

    Pete,

Double check that NERO is set for your TV system format ( pal or ntsc ). Also check the DVD player comment sot see if there are any known problems/workarounds that may need to be used.

Or you could just use VCDeasy and save yourself the hassle.

still no luck, i checked everything was set probably and it was, i made a slight mistake in the fact that i said the svcd demo worked ok, infact it did not as the sound kept stuttering, i have now managed to get an svcd to play but again the sound keeps going on & off, does anyone have any ideas, i have tried 2 brands of media & i am burning at 2x

    thanks pete
