Going nuts trying to convert to DVD format

I have been trying to use SpuceUP to author a DVD-R....
I have been transcoding with TMPGenc vcd and svcd, trying both 320x240 MPEG1 and MPEG CBR rates at 1.8Mbps and audio MPEG 48KS/s 192kbs...
they load into SpruceUP fine and I can edit and set chapters...it sims fine...but when I go to burn, immedaitely at the end of the copile progress bar reaching 99%, it always crashes giving me a cannot read video file error....

it shouldn't be this hard!!!

I've read all the guides on VCD and SVCD to DVD....and tried all the approaches....

PS I have tried to use MyDVD also, but since it uses PCM audio only, you can't put much on a 4.7GB disk! very counterproductive!!

I would suggest you do not use SpruceUp to actually burn the DVD. Just have it creat the image, and burn it with something else like Nero.
