Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to encode with CCE 2.64, using 3-pass vbr. It always crashes right after completing the first pass.

    Any suggestions?

It took me sooooo long to find a working version and 'patch'.

Hints regarding this issue haven't been very helpful.

Does it "Crash" or give and error that your stream has changed? What is your source?

Do you have an MPEG2 codec installed on your system?

After a recent re-install of Win2K, I found CCE would crash or shutdown by itself -- it had never done that before. I got to thinking, "What's different this time around?!" and the only thing I could come up with was the lack of an MPEG2 codec (I had not gotten around to reinstalling PowerDVD yet). So, I reinstalled PowerDVD and viola, I have not had a single problem with CCE since.

Whether or not that was the cause, it solved my problem.

It's an actual crash. I've got an MPEG-2 decoder installed. The same process works fine with CBR. This only happens with VBR.

I think Truman is on the right track.

  7. I would suggest you contact Cinema Craft and tell them of your problem Probably hard to do since I don't think they support the 'cracked' version Truman's right your crack is bad, but I wouldn't know anything about that since we all run legit copies
