Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to encode with CCE 2.64, using 3-pass vbr. It always crashes right after completing the first pass.
Any suggestions?

It took me sooooo long to find a working version and 'patch'.
Hints regarding this issue haven't been very helpful. -
Does it "Crash" or give and error that your stream has changed? What is your source?

Do you have an MPEG2 codec installed on your system?
After a recent re-install of Win2K, I found CCE would crash or shutdown by itself -- it had never done that before. I got to thinking, "What's different this time around?!" and the only thing I could come up with was the lack of an MPEG2 codec (I had not gotten around to reinstalling PowerDVD yet). So, I reinstalled PowerDVD and viola, I have not had a single problem with CCE since.
Whether or not that was the cause, it solved my problem. -
It's an actual crash. I've got an MPEG-2 decoder installed. The same process works fine with CBR. This only happens with VBR.
I think Truman is on the right track. -
I would suggest you contact Cinema Craft and tell them of your problem
Probably hard to do since I don't think they support the 'cracked' version
Truman's right your crack is bad, but I wouldn't know anything about that since we all run legit copies
