I have been researching this subject but the answers rely on so many factors. Here is my situation can you offer some advice?

What are the best resolutions for capturing video meant for playback on standard television (NTSC)? I have heard 400x400 and 738x400 or something.

Having established that... which capture card would be most appropriate for this task?

    Thank you,
    Rob

Anyone using this card in a PVR setup? I want to record TV to my harddrive. Can I achieve that with this card since it doesn't have a TV Tuner?

    I have a Sony TRV130 DV Cam.

I don't have a VCR at the moment. Would a VCR with S-VIDEO out effect the quality of CATV capture greatly enough to warrant buying a more costly VCR?[/b]
