I've got 20 files that I captured in Virtualdub (using Huffyuv compression) and I used a setting to create segments of 1.9Gb so that I didn't get screwed by the windows file size maximum. So my 20 files look like this:

    movie.00.avi
    movie.01.avi
    ....
    movie.19.avi

When I go into TMPEG I can only choose 1 file at a time. How can I make this process go all in 1 step.

Use the wizard. Then the last step in your procedure lets you add the project to a batch list. So, you set up all your jobs, load them into a batch file, and while you sleep, run the the batch.
    Hello.

Since Virtualdub created them, you can use it to frameserve them as a single file to TMPGenc.

Open the first file 'movie_00.avi' in VirtualDub and you will notice that it automatically appends all 20 files.

Now select 'File -> Start Frame Server -> Start' and enter a name like 'movie_vdr.avi'.

Then open this file ('movie_vdr.avi') in TMPGenc and encode it in the usual way.

Ahhh, so that's what frameserver does, it looks promising. Thanks a lot for the reply.
