  1. Hi, I have a bunch of divx avi files(tv episodes) that I want to convert to mpeg2 dvd. I want to splice all the files (12, 25 min. episodes) and put tehm on dvd. Now, I have to splice them all together while they are in divx before converting to mpeg2 right? Or convert them first and then splice together? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't even have the equpment yet, just trying to get some info^^;;; - thanx

Actually, either way can work. You can use Virtaul Dub's File-->Append AVI segment... command. Or if you have registered TMPGEnc Plus, or normal TMPGEnc with the MPEG-2 plugin, you can use the File-->MPEG Tools-->Merge & Cut function. I suggest the Virtual Dub way. TMPGEnc can be a little buggy.

    Anyway:

  3. I was thinking that you could probably do it either way, and splicing the divx files does seem easier. thanks for your help
