.Asf to mpeg or avi?

Is it possible to convert streaming .asf files to another format?..I can't fast forward/rewind the movie sent to me in .asf format...so I am guessing converting to avi or mpeg may be the solution..thanks

you said streaming asf. so to get it on your hard drive you will need asfrecorder. once on your hardrive tmpeg can handle most asf files. if not then go to http://www.stoik.com and go to download page and download freeware video convertor which will change to avi or get asftools which will change to avi also.
