  1. How long does frameserving take? I use virtual dub and when I start frameserv it doesnīt look like anything is happening. Is it working but I canīt see it or what?

    It sounds like you may not fully understand what frameserving does.

    A framserver simply 'feeds' the movie to another application.

    In the case of VirtualDub when you start the frame server you have a small window with counters that just sits there appearing to be doing nothing, in fact it is waitng for you to start the next step.

    At this point you should now start your encoder (for example TMPGenc), and open the same file that you saved in the frameserver.

    The encoder will now start processing the movie from data served to it from VirtualDub and you will notice that the frameserver window is now showing activity.
