Ok. I have made Many successfull SVCD's...

I want to convert them to VCD so I can give copies to my sister... her DVD player doesn't support SVCD,, just VCD/DVD.....

can I just use TMPGenc to rencode the SVCD I have made to VCD compliant specs (1150 vid 224 audio, NTSC 352x240)?

Also I am thinking about getting a portable MP3 cd player, and on the plus side, can play vcd (or can spend a little more and get the portable that can play SVCD)..

    Thanks.

  2. Okay, the problem you'll have is that some TMPGenc proggies don't like to do this because they're mpg-2 (But since you make SVCDs this might not be a prob 4 U) TMPGenc should convert just fine to VCD. BUT if it doesn't, you can put the MPG2 into DVD2AVI, just as you would a VOB file, make your project file, and plug the d2v's and wavs into TMPGenc, and go!
