Hi, If I got a dvd player I think I would want it to play cdr's that are as many formats as possible, I would not want macrovision. It would be good if it played mp3s and audio cds.

From what I looked around I thought maybe to get an Apex but I read a few places that it isn't very good, but if fits this profile of mine. Could you tell me how it is a bad player? is it a quality thing, a control options thing?

If you could tell me the things I should know about before I make a commitment. Also I heard you have to crack the player? via a cd? Is this a do or die situation where you only get one shot to make the crack work? Thanks for all your help.
