I'm not sure what you mean by PS file. Do you mean the option that creates a Program Stream in I-Author's multiplexor? If so you cannot use this file in I-Author, this option is so that you can multiplex with I-Author but actually author the mpg in another program.

Or did you mean to say .mps file? It doesnt matter what dir you put this in as long as the corresponging .EP and .SDT are also in that dir. When you create a menu or play item in I-Author select the .mps file for source. If there is a problem with anything it will surely tell you.

Ok then you just have an mpg. PS means program stream, its no different than any other mpg. It doesn't matter where you put it just burn it with Nero. Use Nero's SVCD option and just load you mpg and burn.

I believe the only other program which can put soft encoded subtitles into a SVCD stream is WinSubMux.

If you don't check PS format then I-Author's multiplexor will create an .mps file which can only be authored in I-Author.

If you do check PS format it will create an mpg program stream that can be authored in any other authoring program, such as Nero. Sorry its been a while since I used this multiplexor, the program stream has a .PS ext but it is just an mpg.

So if you want to burn in Nero than check PS format in I-Author's multiplexor and then rename the xxx.ps to xxx.mpg and then burn using Nero's SVCD option.

Open any dir and go to tools/folder options/view and uncheck hide file extensions for known file types. Close all that and find your file. You will now see that it has a .PS ext. Just change it to mpg and burn in Nero.
