Prob with IfoEdit and region 1 discs

After ripping region 1 film to h/drive, I want to keep the original menu but after loading the movie, The guide tells you to push play dvd, At this point the movie does not play and instead i get unable to play this region ?, Why ?

Have you tried making the disc Region free using IFOedit as sometimes smartripper doesn't seem to do it correctly
