How the best method to extract audio from dvd? I used dvd2avi, but it's slow. How to convert ac3 to wav without dvd2avi?

Paradebh, DVD2AVI is probably the easiest way without ripping the DVD differently.
Alternatively, you could try ripping just the specific soundtrack on the DVD into an AC3 file. You can then use AC3DEC to decode it into a wave file.
