I have just started using TMPEnc and have sucessfully converted 10 AVI files to MPEG-2 files for viewing as SVCDs on my DVD player. (Thanks to this forum.)
However two of my AVI files will not convert, I am doing everything the same as I have done for the previous 10, the only discerable difference I can see is that these two files have a continuous music track whereas the others did not.
On using TMPEnc I get the error message: C:\...\file.mpg can not be created.
The AVI files can be viewed using RealOne player without any problems.
I am creating the AVI files from Sony's Movieshaker (Digital Camcorder Editing Software)
I have used Videodub to seporate out the AVI video file and the WAV sound track.
I am using TMPGEnc 2.58.44.152, Toolame, SSRC and have installed Nimo Codex pack, all to no avail.
Please can you suggest what I should try next.

In case this helps anybody with suggestions as to what may be wrong:
I have attempted to convert the AVI to MPG without any audio track and it still returns the same error.
