I want to convert this dvd to svcd using dvd2svcd. The movie is 201mins[pal], what will the quality be like if i want to put this on just 2 80 mins cdrs and what settings should i use, ie bitrate.

Use TMPGenc to see what the default SVCD setting should be.
Have a look at http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm which has lot's of info on this subject.

That's gonna be quite a difficult task to make 201min movie to fill just two 80min CDR's. You'd have to use 352x288 resolution and pretty low CQ, about 60-75 i'd say with bitrate around 1150. Try some of the Sefy's templates or
try 2-Pass VBR?

I made 180min movie to 2x90min CDR (352x288, 224kbps, CQ_100 bitrate 1300) and the quality was as good as you can expect.
