I just purchased a DVD (or maybe a VCD) that was recorded in region zero. I am new to this stuff so I am not sure what type if it is a DVD or VCD.
Anyway the trouble is when I play the disk on my DVD player that is about 4 years old the picture does not appear on the entire screen. In other words there are two black bars on each side of the picture. Also, the picture locks up and freezes sometimes.
The seller (I bought the DVD on Ebay) said that a new DVD, Playstation or X-Box should resolve this problem. Does this sound accurate? Are there any types of DVD players I should invest in that support burned-in DVDs or VCDs, etc so I do not have to worry about the format.
I appreciate any information anyone can give me.
