  1. Hello

l have mastered video editing at last! but needed a different encoder for improving quality (nero's is crap) l am now using a TMPGEinc which is perfect.
l have to start with it, saved my movie's mainly in avi files from editing which are good and the film after converting very impressive, l still still use nero to burn as there is no problem there comes out very close to dvd, very happy.

However l have now saved the movie as a mpeg file from editing which is even better quality, l can see the difference as l am able to use a higher transfer rate, 9000kb per second. Rendering the movie takes longer as you would know but the picture quality is now perfect.

Right my question and problem....................the film is saved as a mpeg in my documents ok, but when l open it with media player, it tries to connect to a server (internet etc) to download required codec's which is to allow the movie to play right? ok well it does not download any codec's and just said error in downloading codec's However, the movie still opens up and plays. l should be ok with that you would think but when l try to convert with my TMPGEinc it said the file is not supported........? l have been to the windows site and have downloaded the updated codec's for media player but when l play it, it still tries to look for a codec? on the internet, but again plays anyway... just in case you might have the answer l would really like to know what the fuxx is up with it l'm too close to give up now!! oh yeah thanks for that site it was info from there that prompted me to get the correct encoder.

    Billy.
