DVD Player wont Recognize Menu created in NERO

Hello All,

Im in NERO and i want to create MENUS. I go to edit>properties and enable menus. I find the JPEG i wanna use and enter the text for the menu. When im done burning the VCD i put it in my DVD player and i dont see the menu. When i hit play the movie starts automatically. I want to be able to see the menu. What am i doing wrong.
