  1. Hi,
I ripped a dvd(it was a two disc set, this onbe did not have the special features) and got 7 gigs of vob files, and usedifoppedit to eliminate forign languages and subtitles. My question is: Are there any other things that can be stipped from the files to lower their size, but not affect the movie?
    Thanks

You need to transcode the vob files to a lower bitrate, therefore smaller file size. There's a program called Rempeg that can do this and it's works in conjunction with Ifoedit to convert them to a smaller size that will fit on a DVD-R. You could also do it in Tmpeg but that would then require you to re-author the files into DVD format.
