I am a newbie who is trying to use Roxio Easy CD Creator to burn a VCD using CD-R media. I followed the instructions provided at this web site (many thanks) and I can burn the VCD. However, it won't play with WinDVD or on my JVC DVD player. I tried to create a simple menu with four options. WinDVD will occasionally play a sinlge scene and starts in the middle but the menu never appears. My DVD player blinks PBC and chapter 1 but won't play anything. I can play the .dat files with Media Player and I got it to work with RealPlayer. I am burning/playing on a Dell Inspiron WinXP. I am also buring with the Disk-at-once option.

    Help!!! Any ideas?

I am going to try to burn without the menus and see if that helps.

So was Roxio a waste of money? Can I create the file in Roxio Easy CD Creator and then burn using Nero?

Update: I tried to burn to a .cif file and then copy that to the CD instead of doing it all in one step and it seems to work fine. Still won't work in WinDVD, but is now playing on my DVD player and menus are working. :P
