PIP with Vegas Video

Is it possible to get a picture in picture (pip) effect with Vegas video ?

I would like to have a video with a fixed background and many windows
in it showing different videos but with the same common soundtrack.

You have to insert different video tracks above the track with background and for each track (or for each event if it is more complex) set the pan/crop attributes that limit their size and position.
Leave only one audio track at the bottom or silent the others.
