Im new to using IFOedit, so bare with me here. I ripped a back up of a movie and i was using IFOedit to create new IFO's(i think) I don't know exactly but i started by loading VTS_01_0.IFO and going to VOB Extras and using create new IFO. I then chose my destination VIDEO_TS and pressed ok. IFOedit then went through a long process, and when i got to the last VOB, i got a message box saying synchronization problem with a VOB.

So does anyone know what happened and can i fix this? Appreciate it.

Also, i just got Prassi PrimoDVD,but now i have no clue how to burn with it? Ya know how Nero gives you the DVD-Video option, all i see as far as video goes, is VCD with PrimoDVD? Im looking to do an exact back up of a movie. I have it already ripped and the files are waiting in my VIDEO_TS folder. Now if i could only figure out where and how to move these files over into a VIDEO_TS folder in PrimoDVD??

  2. What exactly are you trying to do with IFOEDIT? Unless you actually change something with the VOB's (like strip or remux), there is really no reason to create new IFO's (unless you forgot to rip the original ones from the DVD).

For PrimoDVD you need to create a Data Disc. Drag your VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders into the bottom right section. Give it a good label, click on the DVD recorder, click the red arrow on the button bar, select the record method (I use "Record and Verify") and then click the red dot to start recording.

Okay i think i got it. Thanks again EnemyWithin

As far as multi-session goes....what should be selected when using PrimoDVD? Load last track, new volume, or put a track..1,2,3 etc?

  4. Just leave the default (load last I think) as it doesnt really matter. You aren't making multi-session DVD's.

    Well i just ruined a DVD-R

I opened Primo and chose data. Then opened it up to full application. I have the folder with all the ripped files from the movie in it, on my desktop. I followed the directions and clicked the folder icon and loaded my VIDEO_TS(with all the vob's,ifo's,bup's etc.) folder into Primo. I then chose my DVD burner as my recorder. Next i put the speed on 2x(Apple DVD-R) and finally pressed the red button to burn. I knew from the start that it wasn't going right, because it sped right through the burning process and went straight to finalizing and stayed at 100% for about 3 minutes and popped out my cd. As you would've guess it, it was f**ked up!

So now, what did i do wrong? Was i not supposed to drop the whole folder with its contents into Primo or just drag each file from the VIDEO_TS folder over(like NERO)??? All i have is a VIDEO_TS folder, there's no AUDIO_TS. This is the same thing i did when burning with Nero. I dragged all my files over into the VIDEO_TS folder of Nero and Nero did the rest for me. Does Primo not do this for you?
Dammit, why can't Primo just have a damn DVD option like Nero!!? The friggin program is called PrimoDVD!
