Hi have a audio sync problem capturing to svcd quality (480x576) using virtual dub and divx (5) (about 1 second / minute !). when using huffyuv there is no sync problem, but i "only" have a 60 GB hard drive and huffyuv needs to much space for a 2 1/2 hour capture in this quality.
up to now i only captured for vcd, and divx seemd to be a good compromise at least for this resolution.
i also tried mjpeg, but in best quality it needs the same space as huffyuv, and if i reduce the quality i can also capture for VCD (352 x 288 where i don't have any problem with divx or any other codec i tried). i played around with the settings of the divx codec, this makes a difference (0.5 sec / min), but it does not solve the problem.
any other high quality codecs recommended or any other settings i could try ?
i do not believe that it has something to do with my hardware, but before anyone asks :
AMD 1700+, 512 MB DDR
60GB IBM harddrive
Hauppauge WINTV PCI FM (WFV drivers)
Terratec Xlerate soundcard
