    Hi all!
I have an SVCD which i would like to convert to AVI. I have tried to copy it onto my hard drive, but for some reason it won't let me. It had 15 seconds left to go, then came up saying cyclic error.
Could anybody tell me why this is happening please?????

Try in a diffren cd-rom, some are better about reading smaller pitch (80min) and overburnt disks.

you can try to create an image file of the SVCD (.bin, .iso, etc.), then use Isobuster or CDMage to extract the MPG file from the image file to you hard drive - but if you CDRom is having trouble reading the disc, this probably won't work.
BTW, can you play the entire clip from your CDRom?
    You can't fool me, I'm a moron!
