  1. Hi guys,ive just joined this great forum to ask this question that is doing me head in!!

    I have an avi clip which i want to convert using cce 2.64 and then author onto dvdr using ulead dvd workshop.

    I have converted the avi but i mustnt have the settings correct in CCE because when i try to use it in Ulead it starts to completely reencode it all again...please help me before I do something dangerous to myself.....and i might just do it,,,i might..!!!...lol

  2. If you are using version 1.2, check the "do not convert compliant files" box on the last screen before you burn. If you are using version 1.0, it will not reencode if you choose DVD WS setting with a higher bitrate than you used in CCE (I think . . . . it might be the opposite, search the forum, the answer's here, or do a short test, don't rely on my answer for v 1.0). Note that your format must be compliant though (ie if you encode in CCE to 640 x 480, DVD WS will reencode no matter what because that size isn't a compliant DVD format)

  3. The avi clip is actually 640x480....i think that maybe the problem ?

  4. That would cause it. You may have to resize your AVI file unless there's a way to specify the output size in CCE. I know there is if you're using the Premiere plugin, but I can't find the option in the standalone version of CCE.
